Medications in Pregnancy That Are Considered Safe
In pregnancy, you only want to take medication if you really need it. But here is a list for various discomforts that for my patients are considered safe: For Heartburn and Indigestion: For Colds or Allergies: For Fever(mild),Headaches or Muscle aches: For Cough: - Robitussin or Robitussin-DM
For Nausea: - B-100 Complex or B-6 Complex
For Constipation: For Diarrhea: For Sleep For Leg Cramps: - Tums,Citracal,or Caltrate
NO ALCOHOL OF ANY KIND!
I NEVER say it is ok to drink alcohol in pregnancy. I realize there are some theories out there saying a glass of wine occasionally is just fine...I DISAGREE!! Don't take any chances with your baby. What about Caffine in Pregnancy?
You should avoid consuming a lot of caffeine. Studies have shown that a small amount of caffeine (less than 1 Coke/day) does not affect a pregnancy. Caffeine is a mild diruetic, however, so you MUST drink plenty of water!
